Every brand has a story worth telling well. My job is to listen first, then film.
My first years in film were spent as a line producer on Rajasthani feature films: Hukum, Kans and Bhawri. It is not the glamorous job on a film, but it was the best school I could have asked for.
I learned what a day of shooting really costs, how to keep a crew together when plans change, and that every good shot depends on people trusting each other.
With Lancer Entertainment I was the exclusive event partner for Ticket to Bollywood, a talent hunt with Dainik Bhaskar that toured six cities in Rajasthan: Jaipur, Udaipur, Jodhpur, Ajmer, Kota and Sikar. Each city had a celebrity on stage, including Tisca Chopra, Udita Goswami, Divya Dutta, Kashmera Shah, Sambhavna Seth, Deepshikha Nagpal and Jay Soni, and the winners earned a role in a film or series.
We planned and ran every event, looked after the celebrities and ran the auditions. Later, in 2015, we brought the bodybuilder and fitness trainer Kris Gethin to South Delhi for a gym launch. Events taught me to plan for crowds, schedules and big names, and to stay calm when all three meet on the same day.
On Kota Junction I worked as co-line producer, and I also designed the film's posters. I was on stage at its music launch in Mumbai with the lead cast, Munish Khan and Setareh Nouri.
It showed me that people decide whether to watch long before they press play. The picture, the poster and the story all have to work together. I bring that thinking to every ad.
I co-directed three short films, Love Unplugged, I Am Alive and The Lost Trip, and a web series, Crazy Riders.
After years of producing, directing taught me the other half of filmmaking: how to make an audience feel something in a few minutes, and how much of that comes from the people in front of the camera feeling comfortable.
In March 2024 I started Studiozz to bring what I learned on film sets to brands. I lead every project myself, from the first conversation to the final cut, and bring in the right crew for each shoot.
Cafés, product makers and professionals in Delhi have trusted us with their stories, and some, like Cascara Coffee, have come back for more. That trust is what I work for.
Before any idea or camera, I want to understand your business, your customers and what you need the video to do.
A small ad gets the same attention to detail as a feature film. Only the scale changes.
After 15 years I am still learning on every shoot, and every project makes the next one better.
